Flip Rodenburg, born in Franeker, Friesland, has been playing with Torf since 1984. He is known as one of the best bagpipe constructors in Western Europe. The sound of Flip his bagpipes is characteristic for Torf. Flip does not only play the bagpipes but also other wind instruments like the Pommer, the medieval clarinet (the flippofoon), thin-whistle and koehorn. He is also a good singer which can lead to beautiful duets with Henk.

Flip has studied the history of art at the University of Groningen and he is a specialist in medieval music. In his spare time, he likes gardening at his home in Kantens (north of Groningen). He, like Geert, dislikes a lot of things, one of them is the guitar. He especially dislikes sounds that have been produced electronically.
