Marius Greiner was asked to play music for the band’s cd “Op Roemte” in the spring of 2001 and he has been a member of Torf since. He plays the violin, mandolin and the Turkish drum. The violin has, in a short period of time, become an important part of the sound of Torf.
Marius has studied violin at the conservatorium of Groningen and he is now a violin teacher. He is also a member of the Mediterranean music group “Tarducci”. Marius isn’t form Groningen, the other Torf members suspect he is from the west of the country. He now lives in the northern province of Drente. It seems that Marius, like Henk, doesn’t dislike anything, is interested in everything and has a kind word for everybody.
